Only to move again in 4 months... *sigh* I hate moving. I would rather saw off my own foot then move-and I figured out that in our 6years of marriage we have lived in 5 different places.....but alas, we moved. And we rented the LARGEST truck possible and had the brilliant idea to have ME drive it...
Before I hit the cement steps while pulling into the driveway
My family had spring break this last week. They drove down to Moab and brought all the four wheelers with them! We went down for a short weekend getaway. Bree loved it!
Bree and mom!
She loves Uncle Matt
Doesn't get much hotter then this my friends!!! Whoot whoot! This was the first time Joseph tried this.... He is a natural!
So, Melinda is awesome. She is always preparing awesome gourmet dinners in between laundry, house cleaning, baby tending, sewing, calling and other supermom/wife activities.
Well, she knows how much I like holidays and today she quickly whipped together a St. Patricks Day dinner before she ran off to her gym class tonight.
Leprechaun lemonade, shrimp linguini (green spinach for St. Party's), Olive Garden salad (again, green...and my favorite), and green rainbow bundt cake.
The cake was extra special, though. Turns out it was a leprechaun trap. It had a ladder up the side with a bunch of Werther's Originals in the middle. If you look close you'll see the gold is perched on top of a lattice of pretzels. As soon as the leprechauns step onto the gold pile -- BOOM! -- the lattice gives way and they fall into the hole in the middle.
Some friends in our ward had us over for THE BEST murder mystery party ever!!! We made a DI run for our "Prince Jabba" and "undercover Princess Ali" costumes. It wasn't one of those box murder games. It was much more interactive and we had a lot more freedom as players to act and make decisions. We LOVED it!
They had it decorated super cool and had awesome Arabian food!
Such a fun date night! Check them out freeformgames.com.
At two months Joslyn is wearing Brees 3-6 month clothes. She is in the 93% for height. 77% for weight!!! What a contrast from my little Bree who is and was in the 8% for height and weight. (let's not forget she threw up for the first two years of her life)
Joslyn is such a joy!! She has been such a sweet baby. She has found her voice and "talks" a lot. She also is quite a smiley child. She started smiling over a month ago and continues to melt my heart with them:) I love being a mom!
So.... While Joseph was working the other night I discovered this dark red blood looking thing in the ceiling of our closet. I was totally freaked out because I had no clue what it was. When Joseph came home I had him investigate. And the "freaky" blood thing was a plant...
Yep.... I have a plant growing in my closet. This picture was taken a few days after we discovered it so it is a lot bigger and greener...
What a wonderful day! We blessed Joslyn today as well as my sisters new baby Kason. I loved all the love and support we had from family ESPECIALLY those who woke up super early to come- love you to death!
Life was so crazy with traveling, cooking, and being a mother of two that today I just woke up and realized.....Christmas and Thanksgiving have already happened and it is almost FEBRUARY!!! WHAT??? So here's what happened- I made real homemade pumpkin pie with pumpkins from our garden. My friend Brenda encouraged me to try it because "they taste SO much better." She was right! Thanksgiving was spent at Amy and Dans and of course they had quite a delicious spread. We helped with a 5K fundraiser for a family in our old ward. I was the water girl :) while Joseph ran with Bree. It was super fun and super cold! People kept running by asking me if the water was hot chocolate-I wish I would have thought of that! How awesome, hot chocolate on your fun run! My friend Melanie Fifthandhazel.com convinced me to take "pregnant" pictures despite feeling fat and fat: She did a great job and so glad I have them.
We did lots of things to celebrate the season. Decorated cookies, festival of trees, temple square and of course Santa
We went to Colorado for Christmas: my own mother convinced me that making the 8 hour trip in the car with my 2-year-old and my 2 week old would be no big deal because she would be there to help. Well 13 hours, puke twice, poop and pee all over and many tears later we arrived at my house hungry and elated not to be in the car anymore. I was not aware of the pain involved with sitting for 13 hours with a natural delivery... With my c-section I had no problems sitting, just laughing and coughing. So the next few days were a constant reminder of the nightmare road-trip. Joseph joined us on Christmas Eve and we were so happy to be a family for Christmas!
