Well now that I am out of the hospital I can update everyone on the story from my side......thank you to my husband for posting the oh so lovely pictures of me in all my glory...........
Readers Digest Version:
10pm contractions started-Melinda cleaning the house like a mad women.
11pm-I thought "Maybe I should start keeping time on these contractions"
1am-Joseph we've gotta go NOW I wanted to DIE of pain-people tried to tell me but NO ONE can prepare you for what it feels like. Contractions 3min apart lasting a min.
3:55am- The nurse came to check on me and I embarrass myself...As she is checking on me I say, kind of to myself, "For the love of everything that is good and holy pray that I have dilated because this hurts like s****!" Now, in my defense-I do not remember saying this! The nurse had to tell me later and said that my comment had made everyone on shift that night laugh out loud! So I can't say I didn't swear but I tried ok!
4am-FINALLY told me that I could stay at the hospital and that my epidural was on its way! YEAH!
11am- Dilated to a 7 :) She is coming soon :).......we thought
4pm-"Failure to Progress" beyond a 7. Dr. tells me that a C-section is what he thinks is best for my situation. This was a very very hard moment for us. Joseph gave me a blessing and all in all we decided to go ahead with what the Dr. suggested even though we hadn't wanted to at first.
4:30pm- Brielle Elizabeth was born! And I was really loopy
That's it folks-the rest is just boring details of pain and joy. We love her so so much and are so glad she is here and healthy and happy :) She has made me so glad to be a mom and it made the labor and such worth it!
Thanks for all your cute comments and support! We really love you all:)
